That's because rappers aren't real musicians for the most part. They steal other people's music through sampling and then blither over it. Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Bruno Mars, they were and are musicians, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Prince. Rapping is an easy way to get into the business by using other people's hard work. He's an OK actor. He just displaced people that worked really hard at taking drama classes, etc.
